Faculty-Led

At Sagrado Global we will organize your Faculty-Led programs tailored to the academic goals and interests of students and professors at your institution.  Our customized programs focus on your field of study and can provide you with an enriching cultural experience on your study away program. Among the various experiences that can be organized at your request are cultural tours, service learning experiences, Spanish classes, salsa and bomba classes, interaction with local students (when classes are in session), welcome and farewell dinners, among others.

We also connect visiting faculty and staff with local peers at Sagrado in order to create a mutually beneficial learning experience through the exchange of ideas and best practices.

Faculty-led programs may run from one to 4 weeks and the number of students may vary.  We work with your institution to design the program that best works for you.

While at Sagrado your program participants may enjoy the following:

Male and female dorms with double-occupancy, fully furnished rooms and other amenities

Breakfast and lunch options at on-campus dining hall and Café Sagrado (Limited schedule on weekends)

Collaboration with university professors and subject-matter experts for a wide range of topics and interests

Facilities: library, computer center, chapel, sports center - gym, pool and tennis court, art gallery, and theater.

“ I am sending this note to thank you personally for all the hard work you have done with our students over the last four weeks. The program was run very well, the students were well taken care of, and they felt very safe. I also know, from talking to them, that they appreciated everything that was on offer. On my return to Toronto, I shall be giving Sagrado the highest recommendation possible and I hope the connection between our two universities will be a long and fruitful one.” Dr. Conrad James, Director for the Centre of Caribbean Studies at the University of Toronto.

The highlight of my visit to Puerto Rico was the visit to Old San Juan. This visit helped me understand the history of Puerto Rico in a better way and also understand why the people feel the way they feel about all of this. The scenic beauty of Puerto Rico is also a bliss to the eyes. I had never been to Puerto Rico before, but the time I spent there at Sagrado University and throughout the island has made me want to return. There, the instructors and students were kind and helpful when we needed it. Additionally, we had the opportunity to speak with the professors who guided us through what it's like to attend classes there. The experience met all of my expectations, and I'm happy I had the chance to learn what it's like to attend Sagrado.” Abisha Bhatta, student at  Beloit College

“The campus and the people are amazing!  The people I met and the culture I experienced. the food was also amazing! This was my first experience on an airplane and outside of the mainland United States. It was wonderful! Even though Puerto Rico is a US territory, I was still blessed and honored to have experienced the island's rich and beautiful culture and history. Through many of the island's people (and Sagrado University), I was able to be immersed in the Puerto Rican experience. I have fallen in love with the island and I plan on coming back sometime in the near future. Thank you very much for this opportunity! Thank you especially to Mili, Professor Rivera, the people who work in the cafeteria, and the ones who made sure the dorms were clean. Y'all make the world go 'round and we couldn't have done it without you!!” Anna Baker, student at Campbell University

“The highlight was meeting and making new friends with Sagrado students. The highlight of my visit was visiting El Yunque. Everyone at Sagrado was helpful and kind. The staff and students did their best to make me feel welcomed and I am so grateful to be embraced by everyone there. I had a great time and would love to come back!” Gabrielle Hunter, student at University of Toronto
